All these blocks are 10" (250mm) thick to give added strength and to improve the stability of the block. The need for a frame around the block has been dispensed with and thus the inevitable expansion cracks experienced in a framed block have been avoided.

 

These blocks are manufactured from seasoned Hornbeam and do not require turning, something which is rarely done. We also impregnate the chopping surface to prevent moisture absorption.
